According to Steamboat Today, a trooper used a fire extinguisher but was unable to get close to the burning vehicle.
Debra Emal, 61, of Fraser, Colorado, was killed when her SUV struck a tanker truck and caught fire on Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs in Colorado Friday. The tanker truck driver, Mark Bills of Parker, Colorado was uninjured. Emal was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash.
