A man killed when he was run over by two vehicles in a hit-and-run last week in Thornton had argued with two others in a van and tried to hold on to it as they sped off, authorities said Wednesday.

One person was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash in Thornton late Thursday night, according to police.
The crash happened at East 97th Avenue and Race Street just before 10 p.m. on Thursday.
The initial call to police came in as a hit-and-run. The victim was later identified as Joshua Stewart, 29.
But a sergeant on scene said everyone involved in the crash was found.
No word on if any charges will be filed.
UPDATE: Cynthia Marie Vigil, 52, and Dannel Bond Kimble, 26, have been arrested and charged in connection with this accident. 04/24/14.
