Peter Hall, 69, dead and Frank Poppa, 45, seriously injured after wrong-way accident on I-95 in Branford, CT

For reasons unknown, Peter Hall, 69, was driving a minivan south in the northbound lanes of I-95 at about 3:30 a.m., when he collided with a pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Hopeton Kerr. Hall was pronounced dead after the crash, while a passenger in Kerr's vehicle, identified as Frank Poppa, 45, sustained serious injuries. Kerr himself had only minor injuries.
