Police Investigate Fatal Train Accident in Plainfield

Police said the accident happened around 3 p.m. on a set of private industrial railroad tracks near Rawson Materials and Hopkins Fabrication at 394 Norwich Road/Route 12.
James A. Hawkins III, 39, of Coventry, Rhode Island was hit by the train operated by Donald Hopkins of Hopkins Fabrication.
