1 Dead After Crash Involving Bicycle and Motor Vehicle in Waterbury

One person is dead after a bicycle and motor vehicle crashed in Waterbury early Tuesday morning. He was transported to Waterbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:49 a.m. Police responded to Cooke Street and Chase Avenue around 5:15 a.m. and found a male victim in the street with a serious head injury. They are investigating and the crash reconstruction unit has been assigned the case. Police have not publicly identified the victim.
