Middletown teen killed in Monday crash
The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. at the intersection of DuPont Highway (U.S. 13) and Fieldsboro Road near Townsend, according to Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale.
On Monday afternoon, Timothy G. Leonzio of Middletown was driving a vehicle when he attempted to turn left from DuPont Highway onto Fieldsboro Road. He pulled into the path of an oncoming truck, and the vehicles collided. Leonzio was brought to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The truck driver, David Wissinger of Smyrna, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
