Early reports from police said that the driver of the striking vehicle was arrested, however, investigators say the driver is still unaccounted for. Police say they arrested a person they believe was in the striking vehicle at the time of the accident.

Suitland Parkway car-crash victim dies in hospital she had worked for 10 years

Octavia Tillman had worked in housekeeping at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for nearly 10 years. On Friday, she died there, after being injured in a car accident on the Suitland Parkway in Southeast Washington.
Octavia Tillman, 31, was killed in a crash about 11:45 p.m. Thursday at Suitland Parkway and Firth Sterling Avenue SE. in an awful twist of fate, Tillman was a relative of Tameika Curtis and Typhani Wilkerson, two victims of the crash in Oxon Hill, Maryland in October that killed three women, two children and left 10 kids motherless. On Thursday night, Tillman was traveling with three coworkers when their Chrysler was hit by a Volvo. The driver of the Volvo and one passenger ran from the crash site but the passenger was found nearby with injuries and was arrested. The driver has not yet been found. Three occupants of the Chrysler and a second passenger in the Volvo were taken to hospitals.
