Woman fatally struck by car in area of U Street, police say
Carolyn Ellis was hit by an alleged drunk driver near 10th and U Streets in Northwest. The Clinton, Md. woman was leaving a meeting of her Eastern Star chapter, where she was honored for her 30 years of service.
She was walking in a crosswalk when David Jones, of Bowie, hit her, police said. He was speeding, driving drunk, and didn’t stop after he struck Ellis with his vehicle, investigators reported.

That was no surprise to Ellis' friends, who remembered how many children she supported, how many she helped get scholarships, how many she helped get through college.
"She just had a sweet soul," said her best friend, Leslie Payne. "Carolyn didn't have children, but she had many children, many godchildren. ... A beautiful life is gone for no reason."

They should do the EXACT same thing to David Phillip Jone's momma...except that they should take a bulldozer and run his momma over as she tries to cross the street.
