John Hudson, 63, injured after other driver runs red light and strikes his vehicle at the intersection of Southwest 16th Avenue and South Main Street in Gainesville, FL

At around 9:56am, police began receiving 911 calls regarding an accident involving John Hudson and Audrey Glen Smith. Smith apparently ran a red light and struck Hudson's vehicle, who was injured and had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters. Though he was obviously injured, Hudson's friends claim that he waved at them as he was being pulled from his vehicle, signaling that he was okay.
