St. Augustine man, 42, dies in head-on crash in Gilchrist County Thursday morning

A 42-year-old St. Augustine man died in a head-on collision Thursday morning in Gilchrist County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Michael Fesniak was westbound on County Road 340 in a Jeep Patriot about 11:20 a.m. when he slammed into the front of an eastbound Ford Focus in the south shoulder of the road, according to the Highway Patrol. Elisabeth Sauls, 49, of Bell was driving the Ford with Sterling Sauls, 18, as a passenger, according to the FHP. They were both hospitalized in critical condition.
