Why do we only hear NOW (40 days later) about an accident involving one of more popular, technlogical wonder cars? Is it poor reporting? or is it an attempt to save TSLA (and it's stock owners)?

I'll take your thought one step further, conduct a search on Google for any mention of the May 7 crash on the day it happend or shortly after. Nothing. No mention of the crash until the June 30 revelation of an investigation. But you'll find plenty of other stories about vehilcular fatalities in that area around the time of Brown's death. I've entered many keyword combinations with the hope of finding any report: US 27, truck, accident, williston, gainesville, may 7, fatality. NADA.
Note that none of my keywords is Tesla? You'd think that my select keywords alone would trigger a result -- at least one result -- considering the wild, fantastic nature of this crash. It's not everyday you hear about cars getting becoming convertibles because they drove at a high rate of speed under the trailer of a semi that was perpendicular to the road.
