Bicyclist killed in Wednesday night collision in St. Johns County

Johns County Sheriff’s Office. A bicyclist was killed in a Wednesday night crash with a pickup truck while riding down County Road 208 east of Picolata, according to the St. Investigators said the pickup was headed east, as was the bicyclist, when it occurred. Fire rescue personnel transported the bicyclist to Flagler Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Deputies were called to the site just east of Joe Ashton Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. after the driver of the Chevrolet pickup reported the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.
