34-year-old woman killed Monday after Amtrak train hits car in Orange Park

The 11-car Amtrak train pulled by two engines had 262 passengers and 13 crew members. Dylan Bryan said the 34-year-old driver ignored the flashing lights of the crossing signals and went around the crossing arms before being struck by an Amtrak passenger train about 4:40 p.m. The trailer, with an exotic sports car inside, bottomed out and got stuck, and then the crossing arms came down on the semi. The mangled and upside-down remains of a gold Nissan laid near railroad tracks after a fatal Orange Park crash Monday evening. Eryn Nicole Spillers, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle and lived in the area, died at the scene, he said.
