Edgar L Eidson, 87, was killed in a Friday afternoon head-on collision, and the other driver sustained serious injuries when Eidson’s vehicle swerved into the path of a northbound SUV on U.S. 17 in Satsuma. It is not yet known what caused Eidson to cross into the oncoming lane where Jamar A. White, 34, of Palatka was driving. Eidson, of Pomona Park, died from his injuries. White was transported to a local hospital.
