Motorcyclist, 37, dies in Davie crash

A motorcycle and a dump truck collided in the northbound lanes of South State Road 7 in Davie Friday in a crash that proved fatal for the biker. The dump truck driver was not immediately identified by police, but his rig was banned from further operation. "They deadlined the truck," Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle said of the dump truck that had a red cab. The collision happened just before 8 a.m., and closed State Road 7 south of Orange Drive to traffic for three hours during the investigation.
