Pedestrian Killed in Taylor County Accident

PERRY, Fla. -- A pedestrian was killed in an early morning accident in Taylor County Thursday. The Florida Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Tony Alton Southerland of Coolidge, Georgia was walking east across US Highway 19/27 around 6:38 a.m. in when he was hit by a 56-year-old man driving a 2004 Ford F-150. FHP says charges are pending an investigation. No further details are available at this time.

Man Crashes Truck, Climbs Out, Hit & Killed by Passing Vehicle

Authorities say Southerland climbed out of the Dodge Ram 1500, which was lying on its roof, when he was hit and killed by a second vehicle driven by Jim Otis Vann.
