Deadly Crash on I-10

Troopers are on the scene of a fatal accident on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County. It happened just after 5 p.m. in the Westbound lanes near Midway. Witnesses tell Eyewitness News an 18-wheeler crashed into the woods and caught on fire. At last word, traffic was narrowed to one westbound lane and troopers recommend avoiding the area.

FHP Identifies Man Killed in Wednesday I-10 Accident

FHP says 55-year-old Larry Benton Reeves, of Oneonta, Alabama, was traveling westbound on the interstate when a left tire on the Sterling LT750 Reeves was driving blew out. The vehicle then entered the median, hit several trees and landed on its side, according to FHP.
