Crash Victim's Family Sues Several College Town Bars

The family of a 20 year old TCC student filed a wrongful death lawsuit this afternoon against four Tallahassee bars. The wrongful death suit contends four bars - including three in College Town - were negligent in serving Gruskin alcohol that night despite her being underage. The suit contends that the College Town bars knew Gruskin was underage because she had been issued a trespass warning earlier in the year and was later arrested by Tallahassee Police for violating it. The suit is critical of TPD for failing to investigate who served Gruskin alcohol that night. The suit says Gruskin's blood alcohol level at the time of the crash was more than three times the legal limit.
