Crash leaves passenger dead, driver and additional passenger arrested after fleeing scene

Just after 1 a.m. Friday morning, the vehicle was traveling near US-301 and Bishop Road when for an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway and collided with several trees before stopping. The driver and a passenger ran from the scene and another passenger died. 

Hillsborough County men face charges in deadly crash

The two men were arrested and taken to Hillsborough County Jail. They are facing charges for leaving the scene of a crash involving a death, driving without a license involving a death, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, FHP said.
