A woman killed in a Thursday night Clearwater accident has been identified.

Clearwater police said it does not appear the driver of the vehicle was at fault.
Janet Helwig, of Clearwater, was struck by a Buick Century around 9:15 p.m. on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard at Meteor Avenue near Clearwater High School. The driver, Omar Escamilla, is not expected to be charged.
