Deputy seriously injured in 6 car accident in Gibsonton

A Hillsborough County deputy was seriously injured in a 6-car accident in Gibsonton on Tuesday. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the accident involved two tractor trailers and occurred on Gibsonton Drive at the overpass to I-75. Both directions of Gibsonton Drive are shut down at this time. Berg ran into a red truck, which pinned him under both. The deputy, who was driving a motorcycle, has been freed by fire rescue officials and is being flown to Tampa General Hospital.
