Florida Highway Patrol confirms that three people have died in a crash involving a car hauler semi-truck and other vehicles on Interstate 75 near North Port.

The truck's driver, who had exited the vehicle, was also hit by the SUV and died at the scene. He has been identified as a male 51-year-old from Haines City.
Perkins and Gadson were both ejected from the SUV and died at the scene. A third person in the SUV, 23-year-old Sharnice Brown, was seriously injured and taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
