Owner of vehicle sought in tow truck driver crash

Tampa, Florida -- A tow truck driver was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the northbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge early Monday morning. Authorities say the 43-year-old tow truck driver was hit and killed while attending to a disabled SUV on the outside shoulder. In 2014, lawmakers expanded the "Move Over" law protection to include other vehicle operators beyond just emergency crews like fire trucks and ambulances.

Troopers later found Huffman's damaged Volkswagen Passat  in the parking lot of the Crown Plaza Hotel near Westshore Mall. Investigators say she was later spotted in a cab outside the Hard Rock Casino off Interstate 4.

Huffman is no stranger to the law she's been arrested for DUI three times in the past.

If you have any information her whereabouts or the crash, please call the FHP at 813-631-4020.
