Man dies in 2 vehicle crash in Forsyth County

The crash remains under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigations Unit. A man has died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of McFarland Parkway and Georgia Highway 400 northbound in Forsyth County, Tuesday morning. Deputies with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office determined that a white 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by 49-year-old Franklin Smith, was turning left from eastbound McFarland Parkway onto the Georgia 400 northbound on-ramp. A red 2011 Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on McFarland Parkway. The Mustang entered the intersection and struck the front passenger side of the Corolla.
