Woman struck and killed by train in Athens
Authorities say Vasenden was in a wooded area near Childs Front Drive and Lake Place Drive in Athens when she was struck by the CSX train.

The train’s engineer immediately stopped and called 911, and police officers arrived to find Vasenden deceased at the scene, according to Athens-Clarke County police spokeswoman Hilda Sorrow.
