At the time of his arrest, Solis was on probation for a Clayton County DUI conviction in March, court records showed. In addition to 12 months of probation, he was ordered to do community service and paid a fine, a spokeswoman for Clayton County State Court said.

The Fulton County, GA Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to us Monday afternoon that 49-year-old Michael Furlow of Royalton and his two grandchildren – 7-year-old Halle Young and 8-year-old Kaybrin Osborne of Benton, were killed when a car driven by 20-year-old Jorge Solis crashed into Furlow’s car around 5:30 a.m. on southbound I-75.
Atlanta Police said Jorge Solis had been drinking and drove in the wrong direction on Interstate 75 south. His F-350 crashed into a passenger sedan with two adults and three children as occupants. Michael Furlow, 49, and two of the children died.
