Local news media report that after two cars crashed on Interstate 20 early Friday morning, the drivers got out on the shoulder to assess damage. Police say a third vehicle then hit one of the drivers and kept going.
Suspect arrested in fatal hit-and-run in Atlanta
Atlanta police arrested Antonio Andrews on charges that he fatally struck a man on I-20 early on New Year’s morning and drove away.
Andrews was arrested Monday and held in the Fulton County jail on charges of felony homicide with a vehicle, felony hit and run, and failure to maintain lane.

Andrews was charged in a wreck that happened around 2:15 a.m. on I-20 westbound near the Hamilton E. Holmes exit, police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said. Investigators said the incident unfolded when Daralle W. Young was driving a 2010 Hyundai Elantra west on I-20 and was struck in the rear by a 2006 Saturn ION.
