Two Franklin Co. teens killed in crash

Officials say two Franklin County High School students were killed in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday.
Timothy Lee Hartman and Maleke Douglas Moon, both 17, of Canon, died in a collision at Jackson Bridge Road and Strawberry Lane at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle, Samuel Parten, 18, of Carnesville, was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. His condition is not being reported at this time. Authorities say the vehicle exited the road and traveled down an embankment. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
