All of the occupants from Taylor and Gyalsten’s vehicles were transported to a hospital for treatment. At least one person was treated for serious injuries.
Several injured, at least 1 serious after 3-vehicle crash on Bull River Bridge
SCMPD says a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by John Weeks, 30, of Martinez, Ga., ran out of gas and was stalled in the westbound lane of the bridge. A Kia Spectra driven by Lobsang Gyalsten, 24, of Raleigh, N.C., was also headed westbound. Gyalsten saw the stalled vehicle at the last second and attempted to pass the vehicle on its left side. Gyalsten’s vehicle struck the rear of Week’s vehicle, sending it into the eastbound lane. A Ford Escape driven by James Taylor, 54, of Fort Lawn, S.C., was traveling eastbound and struck the vehicle.
