Woman killed in pedestrian crash on S. King St.

A woman was killed in McCully after a crash that involved multiple vehicles Thursday morning. It happened at 8:45 a.m. on South King Street, just past McCully Street.

Elderly victim in fatal S. King Street accident identified

The 76-year-old driver of the 1999 Lexus was traveling eastbound when he struck the victim, police said. The woman was taken by EMS to the Queen's Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

At around 8:45 a.m., a car that was traveling in the far right lane of South King Street rear-ended a pickup truck. The car's driver then tried to go around the truck by driving up onto the sidewalk.The car then hit a woman in her 80s who was walking on the sidewalk, critically injuring her. The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, went on to hit three more cars in a private parking lot. He was not injured. Police are still investigating this accident.
