1-year-old toddler dies after struck by pickup truck in Kihei Posted: Updated: A one-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by a pickup truck in the Kihei area Friday afternoon. Authorities say a silver 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, that was reversing in the western direction, struck the one-year-old boy that was behind the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck, a 30-year-old Pukalani man, did not suffer any injuries. The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars property on Ulunui Road in Kihei. This is Maui County's 12th fatality for 2015 as compared to 14 at this same time last year.
