Darryl Arruda was driving on Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway woth a group of seven other bicycles when the motorcyclist in front of him braked suddenly at a traffic light. Arruda slammed into the bike, causing both bikes to overturn.
A 16-year-old boy was driving a moped on Kapolei Parkway when he was struck by a car. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a local trauma center for treament.
Authorities have reported an incident occuring Sunday morning involving a man in his 60s walking on a marked crosswalk when he was hit by 59-year-old man driving a vehicle.
Reports of a car accident came in around 1:47 a.m. in an area near Gunstock Ranch on the Kamehameha Highway in Laie. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 27-year-old woman, the driver, dead at the scene of a single-car accident.

Jose Vasquez Jr. and a 22-year-old passenger were riding it high speed on Old Haleakala Highway when Vasquez lost control of the vehicle and it rolled. Vasquez was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
