A person driving a 2013 GMC pickup truck was headed south on Illinois 49 about four miles south of Homer in South Homer Township just before midnight when the truck left the road to the right. Troopers said the truck hit a drain culvert. Ms. Rothermel was wearing a seatbelt, police say.
