Fiery crash kills Kansas couple in southwestern Illinois

Coroner Rick Stone says it appears one of the tires blew. 

A couple from Kansas was killed in a fiery RV collision on Interstate 64 in southwestern Illinois. Ervin Huflig, 68, and Mary Huflig, 63, of Lawrence, Kansas, were pronounced deceased at the crash site Monday evening in Washington Park. The couple was driving an RV towing a minivan when they lost control of the vehicle, possibly due to a tire blowout, struck a sign post and caught fire.
