The collision occurred at about 5:30 p.m. when three motorcycles, which were headed north on Route 31, crossed the median and hit another car and an SUV, according to the Daily Herald.

Alex J. Misurelli was pronounced dead about 6:02 p.m. at the scene of the crash involving three motorcycles, an SUV and a car on the Route 31 western bypass north of Algonquin Road, according to McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski.
