The outbound Bishop Ford was shut down following a police chase that apparently ended with an arrest on the highway. A photo posted on Facebook shows officers standing by a squad car and putting a suspect in the back seat. The arrest happened near 115th street. Witnesses report that officers are searching the Pullman neighborhood on foot with dogs, apparently searching for another suspect. The chase was started by Calumet City Police, according to Illinois State Police, after they were notified that the vehicle involved was believed to be stolen in Chicago. The offenders, took police on a chase from Calumet City, through Dolton and onto the Bishop Ford. The car crashed into two Calumet City squad cars. One passenger from the stolen auto fled on foot and police are searching for him. Three other people inside this stolen auto are in custody. Charges are pending. There were no injuries, police said.
