The person was struck about noon by a northbound Red Line train at the 63rd station at 220 W. 63rd St., according to a CTA spokeswoman.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed a woman, who appeared to be in her 30s, was killed, but her name was not released Wednesday afternoon.
The death was an apparent suicide, authorities said.
