The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday when the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria traveling south on Torrence Avenue near 116th Street lost control and hit a curb and fire hydrant before flipping over and striking a fence and the front porch of a two-story home.

Their vehicle collided with a fire hydrant and then crashed into the porch of a house in the 11600 block of South Torrence Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. Steele was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The two passengers were transported in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
