One dead, one hurt in crash that closes eastbound I-290 near Elmhurst
The crash about 1:58 p.m. involved three semitrailer trucks and four other vehicles, Illinois State Police said in a news release.

Elmhurst firefighters were called to the scene about 2 p.m., and the Chicago Fire Department had six pieces of equipment at the crash, including a foam truck from O'Hare International Airport.

Follett was hit from behind by a tractor-trailer driven by Donald Hill, 47, of Rhinelander, Wis., shoving Follett’s 2004 Chrysler sedan underneath another tractor-trailer in front of him, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police.
