Glendale Heights girl, 5, struck, killed by vehicle in Hoffman Estates
The Cook County medical examiner's office on Sunday said Aleeza Haq of Glendale Heights died in the Hoffman Estates accident Saturday in the 1700-block of English Drive at 12:27 p.m.
A 5-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle just before 12:30 p.m. on West Thacker Street east of Illinois Boulevard, according to police. The child was brought to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she was pronounced deat at 6:18 p.m. The vehicle was driven by a 52-year-old Hoffman Estates resident.
