Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a white vehicle that may have played a role in the death of a 23-year-old Chicago man who died in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning in north suburban Skokie.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a white vehicle that may have played a role in the death of a 23-year-old Chicago man who died in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning in north suburban Skokie.

The fatal crash happened about 11 a.m. at 3850 Dempster St. A black 1996 Ford Mustang coupe, traveling westbound on Dempster, left the road and hit a tree in the parkway, a statement from Skokie police said.

John Khosho, of the 6700 block of North Artesian Avenue, was pronounced dead at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston at 11:41 a.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

Khosho was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.

Police said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but said the car’s air bag deployed upon impact.

The crash is being investigated by the North Regional Major Crime Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team.
