Three killed in rural Hanover crash

Haylee O. Hovis, 22, and an infant were pronounced dead at the scene. The infant's name is being withheld. Scott L. Link, 26, was transported to Midwest Medical Center in Galena and later died from his injuries.

Couple, baby girl, and unborn baby killed in crash in rural Hanover, Illinois

A young couple, their unborn baby and one-year-old daughter died of injuries they suffered when the vehicle they were in crashed in rural Hanover, Illinois. Saturday, January 16, 2016, about a half-mile south of West Sawmill Road in rural Hanover. Haylee Hovis, 22, of Hanover, and her one-year-old daughter were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the report said; Link was taken to a hospital where he later died of injuries he suffered in the crash. Hovis was also pregnant at the time of the crash. The vehicle rolled onto its side and slid across all lanes of Illinois Route 84, struck a fence and a tree on the other side of the road, and came to rest upside-down.

Roll Over Crash Kills 3 People In Hanover

HANOVER (WIFR) - A roll over accident kills three people in Joe Daviess County over the weekend. Joe Daviess County Sheriff's Office say just before 8a.m on Saturday, 26-year-old Scott Link of Hanover was driving on Illinois Route 84 South in rural Hanover when he crashed his car into a ditch. Police say Link was driving with 22-year-old Haylee Hovis of Hanover and an infant, when he drove into a ditch on the east side of the road before rolling the car and hitting a tree near the intersection of West Sawmill Road. Officicers say Link was taken to Midwest Medical where he later died, and Hovis and the baby were pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
