Luis Diaz, 21, was driving a 2009 Toyota pickup truck on Interstate 80/94 in Indiana with three other Kalamazoo residents. Diaz lost control of the vehicle around 6:57 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 during heavy rain, launching back-seat passenger Alfonzo Balboa II, 21, from the truck.
