One dead in crash on U.S. 30 in Valparaiso
One person was confirmed dead at the scene, Grennes said. A second person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Grennes said drivers should avoid the area and look for alternate routes.

The crash occurred when the Casimir Morris entered U.S. 30 from northbound Comeford Road in a 2007 Buick Lacrosse and was immediately struck by the eastbound semitrailer truck, Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris said.
