David Niezgodski, 23-year-old daughter, seriopusly injured, transported to hospital, after two car crash at intersection in Indianapolis.

Police officials say two people were critically hurt in a crash in downtown Indianapolis Thursday night.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Ohio and Capitol.

Emergency crews at the scene say two cars were involved in the crash, a Cadillac and a Kia Sorento. Officials say two people inside of the Cadillac were taken to Eskanazi hospital in critical condition. Their conditions have since been upgraded to stable.

Officials confirm the people inside that vehicle are state representative David Niezgodski of South Bend and his 23-year-old daughter.

The 24-year-old driver of the Kia Sorento was in good condition.

Investigators do not believe that impairment played a factor in this accident.
