Noblesville woman arrested in crash that killed two

Detectives believe that the driver of the Cadillac SUV was traveling southbound on Fall Creek Road, while the Ford Explorer was traveling northbound on Fall Creek Road. They believe that the Cadillac crossed the center line and struck the Ford Explorer head-on.
Two people are dead and a third hospitalized after a car crash in Indianapolis Saturday night. The victims were identified Sunday as David Foster, 50, of Indianapolis and Whitney Foster, 28 of Fortville. Twenty-two-year-old Paige Byers of Noblesville has been arrested and preliminarily charged with two counts of Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated causing death and one count of Operating a Vehicle with Intoxicated causing Serious Bodily Injury. The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. on the city's northeast side on Fall Creek Road, just south of 96th Street. That's near the Geist Reservoir in Hamilton County. IMPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Fall Creek Road and Sand Key Lane on a report of a serious crash involving two vehicles. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a black Cadillac SUV and a blue Ford Explorer that had crashed head-on. The front end of the Cadillac SUV was engulfed in flames, but was quickly contained by the Indianapolis Fire Department. The female driver was removed from the vehicle by other by-standers and was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with minor injuries. The driver and the backseat passenger in the Ford Explorer were pronounced deceased on the scene by EMS personnel. The front seat passenger was immediately transported to St. Vincent's Hospital by EMS personnel in serious condition. No children were in either vehicle. Detectives believe that the driver of the Cadillac SUV was traveling southbound on Fall Creek Road, while the Ford Explorer was traveling northbound on Fall Creek Road. They believe that the Cadillac crossed the center line and struck the Ford Explorer head-on. The driver of the Cadillac SUV will have her blood tested for illegal intoxicants as standard procedure for any accident involving a fatality. Investigators do, however, suspect alcohol is a factor in the crash. The driver of the Cadillac is expected to be arrested, but investigators have not yet determined what those preliminary charges will be. This case will be reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office for a final charging decision.
