Mrs. Amber Walters, principal of Nora Elementary said “during this time of sadness, our school family has come together as one to support the family of the student, as well as one another. The Nora family is a very close knit community that will work together to celebrate the life of this amazing young boy.”

Dar Wee, a 6-year-old student at Nora Elementary School, reportedly darted into the street near the intersection of College Avenue and 91st Street and was struck by a car. He was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children, where he died two days later. The car that struck him was driven by a 71-year-old woman. A crosswalk and three-way stop was built at the section of road where he was hit to prevent accidents like this in the future.
