32-year-old Cory Hood of Lafayette was heading west on a motorcycle when a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Channing Blickenstaff drove into the path of the motorcycle, causing Hood to sustain severe injuries. Police say Hood was not wearing a helmet. Hood was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Blickenstaff was not injured.
