Police said the passenger, 25-year-old Ygrayne McCarty, was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 27-year-old Zachary McCarty, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital and then flown to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
