NKY couple killed in interstate accident

An Independence couple died Sunday after an accident in Scott County. Authorities said Timothy Cantrell, 70, and Susan Cantrell, 63, were attempting to change a tire on the side of northbound Interstate 75 when they were struck by an out-of-control vehicle. The Cantrells were pronounced dead at the scene. Five people were hospitalized as a result of the multi-vehicle crash, which remains under investigation.
